GFF: Our Maryhill

Following on from my guest curation work as part of Glasgow Film Theatre's Movie Memories series, I was asked to be the lead curator on this community curation project and final screening event as part of the Glasgow Film Festival.
Working with Glasgow Film's Children and Young People Coordinator Rebecca McSheaffrey and Public Engagement Coordinator Jodie Wilkinson, we led workshops with four groups: residents of a local housing association, an older people's activity group led by volunteers, a secondary school film club, and a Primary 6 class.
The aims of the project included providing an introduction to the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive and encouraging both participants and the final community screening audience to reflect on what their community of Maryhill in north Glasgow means to them.
