An exciting project management job at the heart of Edinburgh's vibrant, busy and awe-inspiring festival community. I led the team delivering Momentum, a prestigious international delegate programme, designed to be a dynamic platform for key cultural players from across the world to engage and build relationships with the world’s leading Festival City, the wider Scottish cultural sector, and the international community that comes to Edinburgh during the peak Festival season in August. Momentum is delivered by Festivals Edinburgh on behalf of Edinburgh’s 11 major Festivals, British Council Scotland, and Creative Scotland.
With an emphasis on stakeholder management, partnership working and team leadership, the role called for excellent attention to detail, calm efficiency and strong diplomacy skills as I was:
★ Initiating, delivering and monitoring operations to deliver & evaluate programme
★ Recruiting, leading and managing FE programme delivery staff and volunteers
★ Setting up and managing the Momentum Delegate Centre during August
★ Key contact for delivery partners, 115 international delegates, and FE colleagues
★ Working with partners to develop sustainable operating systems for future programmes
